Well on the study day I went to the other day concerning the western front in WW1 had some interesting information on howitzers and the other gun that i can't remember the name of*. Well the gun you see is a howitzer. It fires long range shells over the horizon and gives off an explosion. They are technological wonders; pity about their destructive purposes. They are awesome machines though.
